The Newly Created Occupational and Environmental Health Center of RI is a non-profit independent resource center that is committed to improving the practice of occupational and environmental health through information sharing and collaborative research.

Overview
Our Purpose is to respond to union and employer health requirements and initiatives to create an occupational health collaboration that meets the unique needs of workers and union members, union stakeholders, health care providers, and insurers by improving worker health, reducing the level of illness and injury, and decreasing the burden of disability.

Clinical Goals

  • To provide timely medical treatment for work related illnesses and injuries.
  • To monitor medical treatment for work related illnesses and injuries and assist employees with return to work.
  • To educate, create awareness and help prevent worker injuries while delivering the highest level of service.
  • To monitor and immunize employees regarding infectious disease.
  • Create a safe working environment for all unions and employers throughout the state of Rhode Island.
